Questions, answered

How does it draft a deposition outline?

Upload the case record and run the deposition outline for the witness. TrialBase reads everything in the case and drafts the topics and questions, with the documents to use for each and a citation to the exact page.

What does it use from my case file?

Everything you upload: pleadings, discovery responses, medical records, prior transcripts and correspondence. The outline cites the page behind each question, so you can see why it is there.

Can it find the gaps I should ask about?

Yes. Ask what is missing or inconsistent in the record, or run the “attack my case” agent, which is built to show where the case is weak. Every point cites the page and document behind it.

Does it work for plaintiff and defense?

Yes. The outline is written for your side of the case: a plaintiff outline builds liability and damages, a defense outline tests the claims. Tell it your goal for the deposition and it drafts toward it.

Can it book the court reporter too?

Yes. Upload the deposition notice and TrialBase books a Certified Shorthand Reporter (and a videographer if you need one), sends the Zoom link and adds the transcript to the case when it is ready. A two-hour remote deposition in California is $769.

Is my case file kept private?

Yes. Files are encrypted, each firm’s records sit in their own isolated environment with auditable access, and nothing you upload is used to train AI models. The terms are in the AI Addendum at trialbase.com/ai-addendum.
